Presentation
The Graduate Program in Foundations of Research in Social and Health Sciences is a specialized training designed to provide a rigorous and applied introduction to scientific methodology in the social and health domains.
Organized by the Sant Joan de Déu Teaching Campus, in collaboration with the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC), the program combines a solid theoretical approach with the practical acquisition of essential tools for designing, developing, and communicating research projects.
This graduate program provides an integrative methodological foundation that enables understanding the epistemological and technical foundations of research, while applying them to real, contextualized cases. Throughout the course, students will develop skills in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, use of statistical and technological tools, systematic review of scientific literature, academic writing, and responsible use of artificial intelligence to support the research process.
The program is delivered in a virtual format, specifically designed to facilitate the participation of working professionals. Its main objective is to prepare students to join research teams or pursue advanced studies, such as master’s or doctoral programs in this field.
