In a constantly evolving healthcare environment, characterized by increasing care complexity, pressure to improve health outcomes, and the demand for a high level of transparency and accountability, quality of care, patient safety, and the associated legal framework have become fundamental pillars of good clinical practice and healthcare management.

Assistential quality is a strategic pillar of the health system and an essential requirement for ensuring safe, effective, efficient, and person-centered care. This module provides a comprehensive overview of the principles, models, and tools for planning, managing, and evaluating quality, with a practical focus on the continuous improvement of processes and health outcomes.

In collaboration with the ICS (Catalan Institute of Health), this program integrates the expertise of the public health system to provide training aligned with the real needs of the healthcare sector.

Understand the basic concepts of the legal framework and acquire solid criteria for resolving situations with legal implications in professional practice.

Nurses, doctors, caregiving healthcare professionals, and social-sector professionals from all care settings (primary care, hospital care, mental health, intermediate care, residential care) who are interested in improving the quality of their daily work.

Professionals who champion leadership and seek to deepen their knowledge of continuous quality improvement techniques and safe work environments, and who want to learn about the latest scientific and technical advances to achieve the best health outcomes and user experience.

The course, totaling 30 ECTS, is structured as an academic year in a course-based format.

The University of Vic (UVic-UCC), together with Campus Docent Sant Joan de Déu, will issue:

In-person lecture classes will be held on Wednesdays from 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Exceptionally, classes may be held outside the regular schedule. These classes will be scheduled on the timetable at the start of the course.

Registration will remain open until September 23, 2026, with an early registration period offering a 10% discount through May 29, 2026.

  • Properly completed and signed master's and postgraduate enrollment form.
  • Official document certifying the university degree (download from My Citizen Portal or equivalent), which includes a secure verification code (CSV) or an electronic validation mechanism.
  • A passport-sized photograph.
  • Photocopy of the official identity document
    (ID card).
  • Early Registration Discount: All students who choose to register within the period established by the Teaching Campus as "early registration" will be entitled to a 10% discount on the total amount (registration credit price) of the Postgraduate Training set for that academic year (fees excluded). Under no circumstances will this discount be applied outside this period.
  • Discount for Single Payment: Students who choose to pay the full amount for their chosen training will be entitled to a 10% discount for single payment.
  • Campus Employee Discount: All Campus employees and their children are entitled to a 25% discount on the credit tuition price of Postgraduate Education (fees excluded).
  • Discount for Sant Joan de Déu Teaching Campus Alumni: they will receive a 15% discount on the credit price. Not combinable with other discounts (fees excluded).
  • Discount for employees of other centers of the Order of Saint John of God: a 10% discount will be applied to the credit price.
  • Discount for members of the Catalan Institute of Health: a 10% discount will be applied to the credit price.

The applied bonuses or discounts are not cumulative with each other or with other current reductions or promotions (administrative fees excluded).
