Presentation
In a context marked by demographic aging and the rise of chronic diseases, there is an urgent need for specialized knowledge in comprehensive health care. The Master’s in Physical Exercise and Nutrition for Comprehensive Health in Old Age and Illness represents an innovative solution to the growing need to comprehensively address health in old age and in the context of chronic diseases.
This advanced program offers a unique fusion of knowledge in physical exercise and nutrition, meticulously designed to address the health challenges of aging and chronic disease. Through a solid theoretical and practical foundation, students will develop essential skills to design exercise programs and personalized nutrition plans tailored to the individual needs of older adults and people living with chronic diseases.
Additionally, it integrates digital health and artificial intelligence elements, allowing students to explore new tools and technologies to optimize patient care and monitoring, thereby improving the effectiveness of personalized exercise and nutrition programs.

Admission Profile
The master’s program is aimed at graduates in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, and Physical Therapy, Medicine and Surgery, as well as holders of any other bachelor’s or degree related to the field of Health Sciences who are interested in acquiring the specific knowledge and skills related to physical exercise and nutrition for comprehensive health in aging and illness.

The University of Vic (UVic-UCC), together with Campus Docent Sant Joan de Déu, will issue:

Master’s Degree in Continuing Education in Physical Exercise and Nutrition for Comprehensive Health in Old Age and Chronic Illness to students who meet the following requirements:
- Submission and completion of the proposed activities in continuous assessment.
- Presentation and defense of the Master's Final Project
Duration and schedule
The course will begin on October 1, 2026, and will end on July 31, 2027.
The streaming sessions are held on Wednesdays from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and are recorded to facilitate later review.
On-site sessions at the Sant Joan de Déu Teaching Campus take place one or two Fridays a month (usually one Friday per month).

- Properly completed and signed master's and postgraduate enrollment form.
- Early Registration Discount: All students who choose to register within the period established by the Teaching Campus as "early registration" will be entitled to a 10% discount on the total amount (registration credit price) of the Postgraduate Training set for that academic year (fees excluded). Under no circumstances will this discount be applied outside this period.
- Discount for Single Payment: Students who choose to pay the full amount for their chosen training will be entitled to a 10% discount for single payment.
- Campus Employee Discount: All Campus employees and their children are entitled to a 25% discount on the credit tuition price of Postgraduate Education (fees excluded).
- Discount for Sant Joan de Déu Teaching Campus Alumni: 15% off the credit price. Not combinable with other discounts (fees excluded).
- Discount for employees of other centers of the Order of Saint John of God: a 10% discount will be applied to the credit price.
The applied bonuses or discounts are not cumulative with each other or with other current reductions or promotions (administrative fees excluded).
