Access profile

This master is directed towards professionals with previous university training, on which to build a new advanced training, specialised and multidisciplinary, oriented towards professional specialisation in the Child Life care model.

The master has a double purpose. On the one hand, professionalizing with the objective of training professionals with broad knowledge about the Child Life care model, and on the other hand, researching, equipping students with the required tools to conduct research projects in this sphere.

The master is oriented towards graduates with a high universitary training in the health scope (nursing, medicine, psicology, physiotherapy, speech therapy), in the educational scope (social education, pedagogy, childhood and primary education) and in the social scope (social work), as well as other graduates who accredit a professional career centred in care of the hospitalized child and adolescent.

The master is directed towards graduates with a higher university training.

  • Healthcare professionals (nursing, psychology, physiotherapy, medicine, speech therapy, etc.) who wish to develop the Child Life care model in their daily practice.
  • Professionals from other fields (education, social work, social education, pedagogy, etc.) who wish to apply the Child Life model to their daily practice.

Although this is a broad access profile, we consider that many of these graduates (or similar) may have a high interest in the paediatric care field, both for study and for work as professionals. In this sense, we understand that with the training complements designed they can easily access the degree and acquire the learning outcomes and the proposed competences.

The Academic Committee of the Master’s Degree may also consider (depending on the availability of places) the acceptance of applications from candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in other degrees and Bachelor’s degrees, who demonstrate more than two years of professional career focused on the field.

Regarding linguistic skills, the student must master Spanish and/or Catalan.
