The subject Final project of the Master (TFM) is worth 12 credits and scheduled in the second semester of the academic year.

Based on the regulations, the TFM will consist of an autonomous and individual work, oriented towards integrated articulation of the theoretical contents, skills and competences acquired throughout the master’s degree, through a proposal for research, study or innovation and institutional improvement for the care of children, based on the topics addressed in the master’s degree. The basic structure of the TFM is reflected in the following points:

  • Identification of the topic to be dealt with and justification of the work framework.
  • Knowledge and application of a relevant theoretical framework.
  • Selection of research techniques/institutional analysis.
  • Development of the study: analysis and treatment of the data.
  • Conclusions and/or development of proposals.
  • Final drafting and public defense of the TFM.

The Campus Docent Sant Joan de Déu has a specific Teaching Guide for the preparation of the Master’s Final Work.

Each student will be assigned a tutor. The functions of the TFM tutor are:

  • Advise the student on the chosen topic and the necessary documentation for its elaboration.
  • Guide the student and to review the TFM during the period of realization.
  • Give the approval for the presentation of the TFM, to its completion.

The presentation and defense of the TFM will be made at the end of the course before a tribunal constituted by two professors of the Master. Information on the court calendar will be made public 15 days in advance.
